BUS 452 Business Leadership
The energy industry is unique, very competitive and rapidly changing. It needs sufficient leadership talent to meet ongoing industry challenges. This course is designed to increase your understanding of leadership principles and how to apply them in the workplace. It provides a broad overview of business leadership focusing on research findings about leadership, leadership practices, and leadership skill development. It explores and evaluates leadership practices, behaviors, and personal attributes of leaders and includes case studies of leaders and organizations. BUS 341 Management Concepts and Applications
This course will help experienced energy industry managers or those preparing for leadership positions, expand their understanding of management principles and practices. The course presents fundamental management theories while examining the manager’s role in today’s global business environment. Topics include strategies for planning and decision making, organization and controls, leadership, motivation, staffing and managing change in an industry that is increasingly competitive and rapidly changing.
