Overview
The online BS in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) program through Excelsior University is designed specifically to advance job skills by ensuring a breadth of knowledge in technology concepts as well as a depth of understanding and skill in a chosen concentration area. This program prepares you for electrical and allied engineering technology positions in technology-related industries such as electronics, electrical power, semiconductors and computers, and nanotechnology. Choose from two technical concentrations to gain a broad professional and technical foundation in a component of electrical engineering technology, so that you are prepared to apply what you have learned to a position in a technology-based industry.

Electronics
This concentration takes the student to higher levels of digital circuitry and microprocessor-based design and exposes them to the fundamentals of digital and analog communication and modern control theory. High-level software design tools along with system simulation software augment the enhanced coverage of these advanced electronic concepts.
Power Systems
This concentration explores the generation, transmission, and control of electrical power and equipment. Programmable logic controllers and their applications in industrial control, as well as DC and AC power generation and conversion, are covered. Virtual instrumentation and data acquisition is also covered, two important aspects of power systems and their operation and control.
The BSEET degree requires 124 credit hours. Of the 124 credits, 16 must be earned at the upper level in the technology component.
- Technology component (including concentration requirements and Capstone course): 57 credit hours
- Arts and Sciences: 60 credit hours
