Electrical Transmission Systems Technology

EPCE’s long-standing partnership with Bismarck State College’s (BSC) National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE) answers the energy industry’s need for updating the skills of the existing electric utility workforce, supports professional development and advancement opportunities within the company, and builds a pipeline of skilled, qualified workers to meet the critical employment needs of utilities.

Utilities need educated and trained System Operators for the safe and reliable operation of the transmission and distribution systems while maintaining compliance with reliability standards.  The online Electrical Transmission Systems Technology (ETST) program is designed with a strong emphasis on system operations.

For current System Operators looking to maintain certification requirements, ETST courses can be utilized for continuing education hours (CEH-only courses) for North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Certification.
